Richly appointed Rosewood Japanese Butsudan Cabinet from the Meiji Period which was from 1868- 1912.Lacquered and giltwood accents with silk linedinterior doors.There are elaborate interior details including 3 drawers at the top and 4 accross the bottom of the cabinet with sliding panels that cover a compartment. The word "Butsudan" means Buddha's Platform. It is used as a shrine for prayer and meditation.
